Yea I'm black, and yup it's korea town. I lived in ktown and then hollywood (santa monica and highland) and then Noho. You're right it's mostly koreans, mexicans and filipinos but it bordered normandie and melrose which was APs turf, well the turf they shared with 18. When I moved out of my parents house at 17 I lived with my ex who was chinese/filipino that's why I moved there. it's a shytty area ran by MS13 and KK (korean killers) the MS controlled the drug trade, while the KK collected the taxes on korean establishments etc. When I first moved there the MS hit me up, I was a regular joe just living with his girl and her brother so they just let me do my thing, they knew my car, so they left it be. I had no problems. The mexicans/salvadorans in that area were coo.

Mark my dude, i remember when i stayed out in south gate for a week and i had no real idea i was deep in a grimey mexican hood until the evening hit and i realized how deep them dudes were, about 30 posted at a liquer store, if i wasnt some light skinned negro speaking spanish i have no idea what would have happened because this was 2003 (i was on leave military) and dudes who clippin black people at the time, i had no fukking idea how bad it was until i was specificly told by the girl i was dating to stay inside at night unless i was walking with her and if ii left to leave with her brother who was apparently a shotcaller.
