exactly, this would be viewed so much better if it's own franchise.

I think if it was its own thing, people would have ripped it for being a house party clone. Theres too many similarities, so may as well just pay the homage and be done with it. People gonna do what they do either way.

It just doesn't seem like an authentic house party. Inviting celebrities? And what the he'll is Antony Davis doing at the party when he's Lebrons teammate and he would most likely let LeBron know?

But my main problem with these black movie reboots is that alot of these young black actors and hell, young black men just sound super suburban. I don't know how to describe it. But compare Play from the og movie to the new one in the trailer. The og Play just sounded cooler and slicker when he talked. Kid always sounded like someone who grew up in mix racial demographics so the new Kid does seem too far off.
I'll still watch it though
