nikka NO ONE SAID THE MAIN REASON PPL BUY IPHONES IS CAUSE OF THE ECOSYSTEM

lol what you talking about slime
Neither did I. But it's always one of the first things mentioned as if it's the same type of draw as marketing and the apple logo itself when it isn't. Which is why I brought up the who Windows marketshare. That number is important if you are going to talk about the impact the "ecosystem" has on iPhone sales. Evidence shows that ecosystem has very little to do with it.

Not in action. Android cameras don't take pictures immediately at all times...one of the things I hate...missing good moments because of the hang up before the picture taking. Had this problem with my note and every Galaxy I've ever owned. I'd be out taking pics and come home to see half of them blurry or just missing quick pictures because of that delay. I've yet to own a android phone that PERFORMS a better . Now of course...if you have plenty of time to take a picture then yea...there are nice android cameras that can take great pics. My gs5 takes great pictures when the situation allows you to take your time.

S6 does instantly, tried one the other day very quick.

It won't integrate with your library ..gotta let that be known. But anyway just cop the Mercury browser..you can download files to it
Then it sucks, LOL @ going through these extra steps in an "easier" operating system"

I can't wait till the open source movement really moves forward on the desktop

TO each his own. I have absolutely no desire to use my mobile connection and anemic cell battery to download mp3 torrents :heh:

Android fanbois noticeably always find some obtuse shyt they can do with their phone that nobody really gives a fukk about. I know this cause I use to be one of those people..then I grew up

Thinking objectively seems to escape many on "team iPhone". It's a series of arguments that you guys refuse to acknowledge when it comes to operating systems. This is not a matter of preference, it's based on facts...The "then I grew up" simple response is all I needed to know.

Being able to download whatever you want on your phone easily is better than how it has to be done on the iPhone. There isn't an argument, you effectively HAVE to jailbreak the device to gain the functionality. A Drake smiley isn't going to change this simple fact.

As a systems engineer, thinking objectively is something that does not escape me at all. Thing is, certain devices are better suited to certain tasks. While yes Android has more access to the filesystem which allows one to download items directly, why the hell would I want to use my battery up downloading shyt to store on my phone? Anything I want to listen to I can simply stream until I get home and download it. Thats the thing, Android guys will tell you about all this non-practical shyt you can do but it doesn't matter at all, even for a techie like me. Please, come up with some other shyt besides downloading music directly to my library that I am unable to do with my iPhone. Im quite sure that you will find there isn't anything but this tired ass argument.
The "then I grew up" line will resonate with any person like me whom does not have a bunch of time to tinker around with a cell phone. Been there, done that MANY MANY times over.
If I really need some work done I simply remote desktop to my home lab and get the shyt done.

iPhone doesn't have a fukking smart dialer. Does a smart dialer on a phone in 2015 sound practical to you, systems engineer? :russ:

You're probably right about android phones in general, and I mostly agree. But my work phone is an iphone 6 and my personal phone is a Nexus 5. I still enjoy using the Nexus far more than the iphone 6. I have no idea why and it makes no sense to me. Its not even rooted so not custom kernel, roms etc. but i pretty much have it setup exactly how i like. Its running 5.0.2 which isnt perfect ( what os is?) but it just seems to meet my needs far more than any other device. I had the M8 as my work phone before i replaced it with the iphone 6 and the M8 is still gathering dust in my room. I have no desire to use it at all. 2 things i really like about the iphone are the build which i think it fantastic and the awesome camera. Everything else I'll take my year+ old Nexus 5 as it just meets my needs better.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but are you arguing that it's better for battery life that you stream music (presumably over a cellular connection) until you get home and download it rather than downloading whatever music you want to listen to once and then playing it back locally?

Because I'm pretty sure the former means your cellular radio is on constantly, eating into your battery, while the latter means its on only while downloading whatever you want to listen to and it's off/in a low power state otherwise

I'm really trying to understand that logic. :patrice: Can't see how download ability can ever be spun into a negative.

stop trying, he prefaced the response by stating that he is a "systems engineer", but still made the mistake of not viewing things objectively.

He is still trying to use the "then I grew up" response as justification for his position. My girl uses an android and has no issues downloading things and doesn't "tinker" around with anything...she is the definition of casual.
