That's what's dude on CNN just said. It's basically parked right now. Some levee been breached in plaqumine( I know that's wrong as fukk) Parrish in NO. Parts of US 90 is flooded. Tornado watch for parts of Bama and MS till 4 pm. Curfew been extended too.

Bout to say, cat 1 hurricane can't breach a levee. Most likely it topped over the levee, which is normal. I still have lights so far in Baton Rouge, matter of fact, we just started getting a lot of rain.

So if it overflows, it's still manageable?
And a breach is mostly caused by wind speed?
Yes, it's manageable to a point. That's where the issue in Plaquemines comes in. Isaac is so slow, the rain is gradually dumping water there to a point where levee can't sucking out the flood waters, now the waters rising rapidly.
As for the breach, It can be caused by wind speed, usually a cat.4 or cat.5. However, some of the Katrina branches was cause by a heavy objects, for instance, a ship.

at my house now, no power for my laptops so I'm using my iPad for this message. all I remember about yesterday was that I drank so so much. I walked all the way from the end of the quarter back to my house in the lower garden (about a 30 minute walk) around 11 pm yesterday. not much else to say other than i'm still a little hung over and I'm wearing swim trunks, lol.
