It's normal to shyt on milennials, but we're supposed to put ALL old ppl on a pedestal just because they're old? :dahell:

There's A LOT millennials could say if we really wanted to go in, but for the most part we don't even say it, we just ignore it

When someone finally does go in, you see the amount of backlash they get :mjlol: "HOW DARE YOU! RESPECT YOUR ELDERS! SO WHAT IF THEY DO IT TOO, DON'T STOOP TO THEIR LEVEL"

Just because you're old doesn't mean you're wise. A lot of people don't understand that. They think just because some nikka made it to 60 that's he's automatically wise and you should listen to whatever he/she says. fukk that. If a nikka made poor decisions or was bad with money throughout his life etc why would I listen to him?

The rule I follow is simple. Give respect in order to get respect. I have a standard level of courtesy I extend to my elders, but I will not be disrespected by anyone. An elder who does not extend me any common courtesy, is usually insecure and somehow threatened by me. Not something I can change, and living like that a long time is it's own punishment. Age does not inherently bring experience, which is why not all old people are wise. By old people I mean primarily Boomers and Silent generation. A lot of them have knowledge but not all of them.

The great thing about old folks who have game to kick, is that they will give it freely. They are always happy to share with they have learned, especially with young people. Some of them are bitter, but a lot of them want to see young folks do well.

On the flip side, millennials have a bad habit of believing they know everything. The downside of growing up in an internet is access quick access to knowledge, but without any historical context. Old people can be bad, yes, but young folks can also be terrible. There are some millennials who can only learn things the hard way. A pity because each group stands to gain a lot from learning from the other.

You took time away from your selfies and stunting for the gram and Snapchat to post this cornball shyt?

Totally changed my view. You're not the most self centered, entitled generation ever.
