Also Im starting to think this cliche is a pure web phenomenon.
nobody was going oh I like Pacs old stuff better and I hate All Eyes on Me, or I hate Biggies new album Life After Death (even though it went Diamond) but I likes his old stuff better.
Come on.

Apparently Every Rapper ever old stuff is better and everything they put out in life after that sucks.
Yeah OK. I think it's cliche to say that. It is something people say so they can sound smart. It is something you say when you don't have taste in music or can't keep up with what's hot.

we'll stop.... soon as you start naming off rappers who's latest album was better than everything else they did before it

it's hard to get better each and every time... i'm sorry but jay has never made another reasonable doubt... those are HIS words... and if you think magna carter is fukking with RD or BP1... then ok then

Like with Nas. His 2nd album It Was Written was Flames!!! But no "the I like his old stuff better" heads want to claim he sold out. Yeah OK.

It's OK for Artist to be financially compensated for their work. It is not bad.
was it better than illmatic??

and nas is waaaaaaaaaaay past both those albums.... so is life is good, better than his first 2 albums?
