I was reading some older threads and you talked about being the Word and whether or not we contradict the word with what we say. Do you believe it leads to a schism between what you really are and your earthly self and you become a shell as a result? I was thinking something similar before and it really made me think about Soren Kiekerkegaard's "dying self". He was talking about wanting to be someone else but never being able to because that isn't what one is and because of their want to be someone else/something else they die a sickness unto death. I think a similar line of reasoning can be made in what you posted before and what's in the OP.
good thread OP.![]()
we compare so much that its ingrained early in our systems to react to deviations from whatever we call normalIt’s wild how people are only drawn to negative shyt lol.
I’ve been comparing the mind to a garden. You have plants and you may have an occasional weed here and there… but you wanna water those plants & keep weeds at bayim just a mild mannered gym moderator breh
as far as high self and earthly self. They are both just ideas. What we really are fundamentally only God knows. We only see the exterior of things. Even when we take up a magnifying glass we can only make sense of things from our own contrived understanding relative to where we are. Our existences could have otherworldly implications despite the apparent simplicity.
I do agree with the thread title in that the things you tell yourself can be more damaging than the things you tell others. Its best when the two are at peace and unified. We make patterns for ourselves in all sorts of things and the periodicity of the patterns can mess with you if you are not concerned with them. Thats why its a common saying in the bible to avoid a froward mouth and that silence can save in itself
as far as the video, i think there is a trap in telling yourself only good things about yourself. Its better than saying only bad things about yourself but if you are not honest with yourself and before God then you will have issues![]()
shift the narrative from the mind to the heart and im right there with youI’ve been comparing the mind to a garden. You have plants and you may have an occasional weed here and there… but you wanna water those plants & keep weeds at bay
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
I dont believe that. You need validation or invalidation to confirm your subconscience thoughts
