I still think Oliver is pretty funny and I like Last Week Tonight. Its well written and informative. This is disappointing, but I'm still a fan of the show. Its one of the reasons I still keep HBO.

The Daily Show alum who i've really suddenly grown to dislike is Samantha Bee. I was always a fan of her's on TDS, and even the first few episodes of Full Frontal were pretty good, but her HRC shilling and clit riding has gone completely off the rails the past few months. Her obnoxiously dismissive attitude towards Jill Stein and Bernie Sanders is nauseating.

The butthurt Jill Stein clowns:deadmanny:

John Oliver is better than Jon Stewart ever was, and is better than Colbert is now. He is at the top of the liberal satirist mountain right now.

She is embarassing and Oliver destroyed her without even going that deep. He could have done her much worse.
Not better than Jon Stewart ever was. Not even close. Jon Stewart actually affected change in the U.S. Congress more than once.

He used their own quotes against them though, so I fail to see what he did wrong:yeshrug:

it's funny how he comes out with this while completely ignoring what the left was doing in the primaries and doesn't question Hillary at all.

Is this the first/only Jon Oliver clip you've seen? (real question)

He didn't cover the primaries till the last minute and has been sucking up to Time Warner's candidate all year. Besides that the show is good.

It's funny bc Samantha bee positions as a liberal firebrand of sorts while literally fighting to keep her children's school free of poor, black children.

It's been pointed out that her financial plan for student debt could be done it's just not realistic. She's not anti-vax either. The issue with the Greens shouldn't be based around a couple of sound bytes.I mean I could see someone having problems with someone's plan for the country being based on executive orders but misrepresenting positions doesn't disqualify her here.

The other issue is John's owners Time Warner are top dollar donors to Hillary. I don't think he bases his show around his boses but it's funny how he comes out with this while completely ignoring what the left was doing in the primaries and doesn't question Hillary at all. Nobody asks Clinton how she'll pay for a no fly zone over Syria or how she'll be able to renegotiate student interests and get free college when her top donors are banks.

ok so NOT realistic MEANS it cant be done that means its really NOT a solution WTF stop trying to convince me a pile of shyt is chocolate cake -

and the time to question what the "left" should do is when its makes a difference in doing

that time is past - the choice is either Clinton or Trump now - not what youd LIKE for the choice to be

this is again whats wrong with "progressives" is that they sit around having temper tantrums when you can get your way and NOTHING gets done at all so you sit and bytch more -

shes a self promoting hack - she always HAS been - and Johnson is a fukking moron AND his policy positions re the opposite of most of Bernies position so why anyone would vote for him if they were going to vote for Bernie before is beyond belief

either you are just stupid or you are fukking dangerously stupid AND ignorant

Nothing you just typed changes the fact that her polices are doable just not in this current climate. I contrasted that with some of Hillary's unrealistic proposals not being questioned and you choose to go on a nonsensical rant like anyone here is putting all their chips on the presidency. You sound emotional for no reason.

i dont like bullshyt

and saying something is doable just nont in this climate is ..bullshyt - that means it cant be done - but aside from her bullshyt program is the otehr stuff which has pretty much shown she is JUST as much of a manipulative which ever way the winnd blows best poltician that Clinton is - so whats the difference again ???

forseeable future - the climate isnt going to change anytime soon at all - but playing pretend - even if it did - its still not "do-able" because what she proposes is not REALISTIC onnce you get down to brass tacks

so yet again WHY vote for her? at least in a battle ground state - its stupid -

who needs that shyt

the ultimate point he was making which he was spot on with was - dont complaint about what shytty candidates are there for the major parties when the alternatives are JUST as bad if not WORSE and then somehow claim they are better simply because they are alternative

again - who needs that shyt

What I'm saying is Hillary also has policies that aren't currently realistic but never get called out for either because people don't want to speak against power. Even Jon Stewart would speak out against Obama. Oliver has done whole deals on Bernie, Trump, and now the 3rd parties but nothing against Hillary really.

Jill and even Gary are easy targets for little soundbites but you can't base everything of a clip show. I'd say Jill's a better candidate just because she's not bought out by special interest or is trying to get us into more wars with brown people over oil. Her issue is she's over her head running for main office when she's really an activist. She'd do better than Trump in a debate but that says more to the state of the GOP than my views on her as an actual politician.

Really I'm just saying that painting the Green party as an evil compared to a neoliberal, anarcho capitalist, and a fascist is disingenuous just based on a student debt policy, false accusations of conspiracies, and a singing career.
