$400 for 256 GB of storage for a media playeryou can buy 42" samsung 4k tv for that fukking price or some shyt
hd space is cheap.. that shyt should be $150 1 model (256 GB) and it would sell out quick.. apple wins because it adds a new SKU to their shelf that sells out constantly, gives them more foot traffic in their store to up sell other products/accessories... the public wins because it adds convenience as a lot of people dont want to jog or hike or exercise with their phone due to risk of breaking it / let their toddlers play games with it over wifi , etc
$400 is criminal and you'd have to be legit borderline retarded to pay $400 for 256 gb of storage of music when
1) streaming is $10 a month and basically unlimited space
2) you can buy many more items at that price point with way more value (laptop, tv, a whole fukking computer, etc.)
After taxes and if you buy a $30 silicone case for it so your little kid doesnt break a still some how expensive item, you are looking at $500
and it still doesnt solve the issue of size, where currently most phones/media players are too big to exercise/ run with... thats a big reason the original ipods / ipod nanos blew up

because people are still purchasing iphone 7 and 8.The ipod touch is mostly aimed towards kids and hence in why apple had mentioned gaming as a selling point.By christmas you will most likely see a price reduction.

I ended up upgrading it with a custom Ipod Classic 5.5 board with the Wolfson DAC to run a 256GB SD Card with iflash and Rockband 
New screen, 3000mAh battery, custom back case...big boy shyt
