I don't know how those researchers reached the conclusion that the Palestinians Arabs are descended from "Christians and Jews" as opposed to Muslim Arabs in the Levant , which is what they are today. How do the researchers know the Arabs back then were Christians and Jews? And even if they were, if those ancestors were Arabs, then the land still belongs to the Palestinians regardless of their religion. Similarly Russia belongs to Russia regardless of whether the Russians practiced Buddhism 100 years ago.
I have an Israeli friend and she tells me a lot of the people in Israel today aren't even Jews.

i have a syrian arab jew older bud who is republican. and another one bud who's an iraqi jew. they don't know each other.
the syrian thought he was down with the rethugs and was pro-iraqi war until barack got his country all fuqqed up. he hates democrats and hates blacks. he hardly comes around to hang with the boys anymore

First of all, yeah I'm sure its pretty easy for this guy to explain the situation when you tell only one side of the story.
I was gon make a thread on this but I think it's better I make my comment in here. I know this is idealism to the umpteenth power and may never happen, but at this rate this land needs to become one neutral secular state for all religions. Not exclusively Jewish, Muslim, Arab, whatever. I know that's much easier said than done, but a two state solution just won't happen and it's no way Jews are going to be moved off the land and neither will Palestinians. Instead of this stick your head in the sand and hope it solves itself approach that leaders in the west like to do, they should right the wrongs of the past. I'm not even suggesting that zionists should be punished for having been more organized than the Arabs in their mission for a Jewish state, but at this point the shyt has become a conflict of interest and prevents long term peace. What point is there for all this constant tension and on again off again killing and wonton destruction? The narrative being so slanted in Israel's favor is one of the worst things in all this, nothin will be solved as long as we let the Israelis have a carte blanche to do as they wish in the Palestinian territories.
When the Palestinians were in control the holy land was a peaceful country where christians jews and muslims all lived in harmony free to practice their respective religions.

Anyway, Harmony implies lack of any significant issues among the population. There was definitely that. Not anyway near the level of post-WW2 violence though, so I'll give you that.
It would be akin to me saying I have black friends and neighbors so there is racial harmony in America. Also, aren't there Mosques, churches in Israel? And practicing Muslims and Christians in Israel? Just asking friend.
Were we killing innocents? Were we depriving jews? Were we bulldozing homes? Were we uprooting olive trees and starving jews? Were we using chemical weapons on jews? Were we arresting them everyday? Did we starve them and put them in open air prisons? Did we have checkpoints of degradation every few blocks?
