Era matters. Interceptions are at all time lows right now. He’s throwing interceptions like a 1980’s, 1990’s QB
He also has to shoulder more of the offense than any other QB does outside of Lamar, Watson, Rodgers. We don't run a short passing game and most of his passes are in the 10-20 yard range. We also take a ton of deep shots, literally the last 2 weeks he's thrown the ball down the field like 40 times, some QBs don't even do that in a 5-6 games and they have him do that constantly.

And once again, there's no run game to help balance things out at all, Jones and Barber get the ball and the line gets no push and we get like 1-3 yards a carry, so that puts the offense in holes and tips teams that they're gonna pass it even more.

I'm not saying Jameis is perfect or anything, but with how the team was constructed, they literally boxed themselves in to having him have to throw it damn near 45-50 times a game.

You get any semblance of a run game and that will take a ton of pressure off of him and will make the offense better overall since they want to use play action to set things up and it's kinda hard to play action when teams ain't afraid of your run game.

He's an interesting player for sure.

I couldn't have him as my QB tho. Would have me stressed out every week. But he's clearly talented.

What the hell has happened to you :mjtf:

I'm not buying into Jameis BS. Rooting for him does not lead to a long healthy life

6 years of this shyt. :damn:

Breh is Vinny Testaverde not Peyton Manning. He could be elite, but can't help himself.
What other options do we have, brethren?

If he finishes the year with 36 passing TDs, 27 INTs and over 5,000 yards and goes 8-8 or potentially 9-7 you have to bring him back.

He’s young, he’s durable, and the bank doesn’t have to be broken for him

I know he doesn't have the big arm Arians likes...but Teddy Bridgewater is right there :martin:

What do you know about Tampa’s offense?

Yeah Air Coryell. Matt Ryan is in the same offense and doesn’t have 24 interceptions this season.

He was throwing the same stupid interceptions in college that people blamed on receivers. How do you consitnely throw the ball to the LB under neath every game?

I love Teddy but there is no way in hell I would take him over Winston.
Winston is more talented, but Teddy will get you more wins.

Tampa has enough talent where they just don't need the QB to blow games. Winston lost about 4 games this year because of his fukkery.

Teddy would have Tampa with about 9 wins right now. He wouldn't put up the numbers Winston does, but he'd not outright lose games either.

I like Jameis but the whole Jameis Winston experience isnt complete without the mention of Crab legs, fellas. :russ:
To me he's like Herm Edwards: Pure entertainment on and off the field

Then you should ask yourself why Jameis doesn't even have a back as half way good as DeVonte Freemen in the backfield. In the 1st quarter where he threw for 224 yards yesterday, they had a rush total of 12. That Coryell system would work much better if he had a decent back to draw the attention of LBs, giving him THAT much more wider windows to throw to. Never mind a pourous O-Line.

And Jameis has a higher yards in the air per attempt than Ryan...by almost two yards. Not the same.

Jameis has the highest intended yards in the air per pass in the NFL.....with no running game what so ever. This, along with the most pass attempts in the league. To go along with being the #1 passer in the league attempting passes past the 1st down marker and NOT relying on his skill position players to make yards after catch. Matt is not even in the top 20 in that department.

Ryan has it easier. Context matters. You overlook a lot.

The offense would have to be perfectly built around Teddy for him to be as effective. With a non existent rushing attack & consistent o-line what exactly is Teddy going to do? Put up 30 ppg like the Bucs’ offense is doing right now? He’s not a fit for Arians’ system.

And even with all the fukkery and heart attack and rage Jameis induces, he’s still one of the most exciting QB’s in the league to watch. As a Bucs fan I’m not tryna watch Teddy dink & dunk us potentially to the playoffs and ultimately not do shyt when we get there.

Hypothetically, if Jameis gets hot for a 3 game stretch in the playoffs it’s over with. I’m not sure if Teddy has that kind of ceiling
