as far as their depiction of women goes, the japanese are just doing what they've always done. no one complained in the 80's, 90's and early-mid 2000's. this SJW-style of policing gender representation is a relatively recent phenomenon in gaming, and since feminism isn't a big thing in japan they must be really confused as to why people in the west get so up in arms over sexualized depictions of women
