Jerusalem is like 90% orthodox...The bar area is all tourists. Besides the sights, it's a lame town. cool for a day trip but if I had to stay any longer I'd off myself. The entire town shuts down on Shabbat

all of Israel shuts down from Friday evening to Sat evening (Shabbat). But yeah, it's true - Jerusalem sucks to live in unless you're studying or religious in some way.

I doubt anyone reading this thread is planning to relocate though, so as far as anyone's concerned, it's a great place to go visit. Hot as hell in summer though.
