I remember back in the day when I used to try to respond to a "K..."

I would be sitting there staring at the response for about 10 minutes before I sent it, because I knew I was on life support at that point. Then she follow it with a ignore and I'm dancing in the street like usher feeling that burn

And also, it all depends on the context of the conversation.

Sometimes the response "k" is appropriate. Also, for long conversations, it is better to have face to face or even voice to voice convo. If it was that important you would call and not text.
