In Kante's defense, I think his persona fell off more than his music.
He's been annoying to me on both fronts but I don't really see a "fall off" as far as quality of music, def not to the degree of Em from 8-mile to encore. Just seems like some people stopped drinking the kool aid and are watching this nikka hold some white mans plat of food on some ask Jeeve's shyt wondering why they liked him in the first place

it's hard to separate the two sometimes.
it was a lot easier to appreciate his music when you knew he was just a guy tryna make it in music. his humility and vulnerability was were part of his charm, combined with his brashness.
but now i know i'm listening to his shyt i can't help but think it's the frankenstein lab creation of this delusional, out of touch, insecure attention seeking weirdo.
