The thing that bothered me was that they called it Karate Kid when the whole movie is the git learning Kung Fu.

Guess what bruh, its called a fukkin movie. Its a remake of The Karate Kid

Now this sequel, the first 2 movies are so epic... they pulled off a good movie for the first one
But the 2nd movie? Man, I doubt they will be able to keep the magic going. I expect this movie to suck
But if its good, it'll be a fantastic movie. I don't have enough faith in HOLLYWOOD to pull it off

So my hopes are not even slightly up

The first movie isn't bad at all.

People fronting like the original was some sort of epic masterpiece are full of shyt. The remake was no worse or better than the original, A bunch of people who probably didn't see it were just hating cause Will Smith's kid was the lead and people hate that kid for some odd reason.

only legit criticism about the movie is that there's no actual karate in it.

i agree but after 20+ years in Martial Arts with 10 years teaching kids and adults, when it comes to the average person, they call EVERYTHING Karate. i taught Taekwondo mainly, it's in the olympics, fastest growing sport in the world in the 90s, etc and people still called it Karate even though Taekwondo was written in various ways all over the school. Parents especially are the worst, their kids could be coming for years & they still call it Karate
