Kobe stopped being a sidekick once he won more championships without Shaq than Shaq did without Kobe...
Shaq was the most "dominant" player in the series because of his opposition... But Who did he play against directly? Vlade? Smitts? Ratliff? Mutumbo? How hard was it to drop 30 on them nikkas?
Yet Kobe was playing the best guards and then playing DEFENSE on the best guards... Even when they lost to the Pistons he was making life hell for Rip Hamilton..
So Defensive Player of the Year and all-time great Dikembe Mutombo is some bum, but Aaron Mckie and Kerry Kittles are amazing guards.See, I'm not refuting the fact that Shaq was the most dominant player in the game or opposition was most concerned with stopping him. Im simply emphasizing the fact that Kobe's role in that offense was so enormous that he played like a primary option especially when Shaq was struggling with foul trouble or they needed to closeout a game. The man was taking twenty shots a game. What Robin does that? Who was he deferring to?....
Pippen never remotely approached Jordan as a scorer or general offensive player though, never a dominant scorer and a much different situation than Kobe/Shaq where it was fitting for them to alternate primary scoring roles given the situation of the game and the opposing defensive gameplan.
If Memphis said no to the trade, LWO and Kobe stans would cease to exist
#THANKYOUPAU
if you gonna quote me say something then nikkaKobe stopped being a sidekick in 2009-2010? Damn...even I think he stopped being a sidekick earlier than that. Man, you cold.
So Defensive Player of the Year and all-time great Dikembe Mutombo is some bum, but Aaron Mckie and Kerry Kittles are amazing guards.
Kobe did match up against known "defensive great" Reggie Miller in 2000...but with Reggie averaging 24 ppg on 41/38/98 shooting while Kobe averaged 15 ppg on 37/20/91 shooting, can't exactly say it was an even matchup.
Since when did scoring become the whole game? You must hate Bill Russell...dude didn't score nearly enough for you. Magic Johnson was just a sidekick to Kareem when Kareem was the primary scorer, right? Bill Walton and Isaiah Thomas couldn't have been their teams' best player either as long as someone else was the main scoring option, huh. And Tim Duncan...talk about overrated, only taking 17 shots/game in all those championship years...what kind of real star does that?
Here's a test:
22/9/6 with 3 steals/game
21/5/4 with 2 steals/game
20/9/7 with 2 steals/game
20/7/6 with 2 steals/game
19/7/4 with 2 steals/game
17/9/6 with 3 steals/game
17/7/5 with 2 steals/game
Without cheating, which ones of those are Pippen's "sidekick" playoff stats, and which one is Kobe's "enormous role" playoff stat?

on the defensive end but
on offense
And nikkas ask who Kobe guarded... So he didn't guard AI, Rip Hamilton, Pacers best wings, Kings best guards, Manu Ginobli or TP if he was hot.. On top of being guarded by the best wing defender on each team

Shaq wouldn't have won more than one championship without Kobe... It's already been proven.
Shaq didn't even win shyt with Penny, Jones, Van Exel, etc... He didn't even win shyt when he tried to piggy back with Lebronze
Shaq is great, don't get me wrong. But he wasn't a champion until he met Kobe and if people don't understand that then they're most likely borderline retarded when it comes to basketball![]()
And Mutombo
Mutombo could barely score yet alone guard Shaq.
And nikkas ask who Kobe guarded... So he didn't guard AI, Rip Hamilton, Pacers best wings, Kings best guards, Manu Ginobli or TP if he was hot.. On top of being guarded by the best wing defender on each team
and the only reason why Kobe went to the finals is because the lakers needed to successfully pull off one of the most controversial trades in NBA history after getting that work by a Canadian two years straight in the first round of the postseason, and missed the playoffs one year. #FACTSONLY
So tell me with a straight face Pau's arrival didn't make Kobe relevant in the league again.
And didn't the lakers try to build a super team with Kobe, TWICE???
Get two super teams built and not win a 'ship brehs![]()
U MEAN THE TRADE THAT MEMPHIS WON? LOL OK

Here's a test. These are a few stat lines from an important series:
222 points,100 rebounds, 14 assists, 6 steals, 16 blocks
69 points, 15 rebounds, 10 assists, 5 steals, 1 block
65 points, 29 rebounds, 20 assists, 8 steals, 1 block
55 points, 31 rebounds, 17 assists, 5 steals, 6 blocks
78 points, 23 rebounds, 21 assists, 5 steals, 7 blocks
Now, which one of those is a "superstar" stat line, and which ones are "sidekick" stat lines?
