It was cool how KRS was planning on touching on more social issues before Scott died and that was all part of his plan. Definitely a five-star album and hip hop in its purest form.

Hate to tell you, but that ain't the OG version of that song and I haven't been able to find it in a LONG time.

Same with 'P is Free' (thus it is titled *Remix*)......two reasons why I felt sorta cheated when I first bought this tape.

Being a man of a certain age, this remains of the most impactful albums of my lifetime. To combine lyrical braggadocio with street knowledge, to do so seamlessly and with credibility was really quite unique, to the young ear the production would seem dated but it was the perfect backdrop to house the rhymes of one hip-hops greatest lyricists. My only wish is that there would be a special edition vinyl and digital copy with all the original/demo versions of the tracks that were on and pre-dated criminal minded.

There is a reason why De La Soul asked where were you when you first heard Criminal Minded



What was even freakier was that I was in 8th grade to when it dropped, and I saved up my allowance for a tape player and this and a vinyl for my room.
