Well from what I've read so far it was knowledge that was based in ancient Egypt and Hermes went there and was taught the info in Egypt. So it wouldn't surprise me if Africans were the first to think of this knowledge
Its a good read......especially the part about how life is a pendulum...... Things are never good for too long and never bad for too long..... Its a free PDF on the web jus Google it the link should pop up..... Its puts thing in perspective.... You will begin to notice a lot of the patterns in life and you will act accordingly...

The difference from Kyballion to Christianity & Islam is that it has more esoteric knowledge teaching you how to project to reach your goals instead of praying to some third party. I find that the biggest difference.
those religions also hold esoteric knowledge if you're reading them with a different mind.

If its in there its coded for no reason. Kyballion and hermes trismegistus(Spelling) tell you exactly how to get to your goal using focus and channeling your energy/thoughts etc.
It's hidden in plane sight. Like I said previously, it takes a certain mind to understand that everything in there isn't exactly literal.
The Kybalion it self isn't exactly esoterim for dummies.
