The Lakers and Hornets trade for Knecht and Williams has been rescinded due to Williams failed physical. Edit: Charlotte is challenging the rescinding

At worst, they're a play-in team. They have a 29-19 record, so I can't possibly fathom why you think the best version of themselves is only making the play-in. A pissed off Luka is gonna make damn sure they don't perform below the level they're currently at.

Has anyone said he's going to put y'all over the top?

:usure:

He's a role player. A player whom fills a need (or at least, in theory does) because y'all just traded the only legitimate big on the roster. I mean y'all only gave up Knecht and a pick (I'm not going to count Reddish because he's had more than enough time to prove he's a relevant player), so there can't be any expectation that y'all were going to get some MVP-level big man in return. Mark is a lob threat, in the best way, and given game-changing big men in the league aren't readily available, this is basically the best the Lakers can get with what assets they have.

Nobody cares on the Hornets about anything really.

A lot of his issues on that end stem from him being injured, the surrounding players around him not being good/experienced enough to defend consistently, so he's going to have to deal with a lot of traffic in the paint and naturally that's going to put him in more vunerable positions.

Damn, my g, you must hate Bron that much. Not even making it a secret that you want this big man experiment to fail badly so you can point to how much the Lakers made a mistake for trading AD away (and ultimately, how more important he was to the team than Bron was).

:lolbron:

AD my favorite player in the league :hubie:

ASS HORNETS THERES A 60% CHANCE
THIS DUDE ISNT PLAYING
SO IT SHOULDN'T BE A SURPRISE

Luka can carry them, but it will take a while for them to figure out who needs the ball in their hands, when and without good rim protection, they are going to get some Ls.

Ain't no way you're trying to say y'all overpaid for this cat, when you'd have to give up more for a worse player in Nurkic. He's the type of big man that you don't want. He's lazy, slow, isn't a lob threat and is genuinely just a net-negative on the floor because he doesn't do anything well anymore. There's a reason why he got benched for an old ass Mason Plumlee (who ain't shyt, himself).

Him and the coach didn't get along so he showed bad professionalism

Norfeast groovin…
@2Quik4UHoes as a day one LWO wolf from the old sloppy site, question…

You think the Lakers made good moves and they’ll go far once Luka gets healthy?

I think good moves were made, or at the very least the best available moves. A lot is riding on Luka staying healthy fr, if he (and Mark Williams) can do that and if Bron can make it to the playoffs with something left in the tank then we might be in business.

Still need to draw favorable matchups cuz Denver would still destroy us right now.

Changes the calculus. You’re no longer in ‘as soon as Lebron retires we are blowing it up’ mode. So those 2030 and 2031 picks will be when Luka is still in his prime. fukk them picks

For everyody that dapped this….
