The Last of Us Is Clearly the Best Game This Generation

only an hour in to this game and so far its a snooze fest I had more fun playing Tomb Raider>

Ill say this, and it may not make any sense, but most of the people that have played this may be able to back me up. Tlou is not necessarily fun... Nor do I think it's supposed to be. It's tense, and hopeless at times. The game is played for the story which is why I was able to overlook technical flaws. I can't really compare the experience gamewise. But even though it's unique, I still can't unanimously say it's the best game of the generation just yet.

I'm actually surprised there hasn't been much said as far as a comparison of TLOU vs Tomb Raider. I watched a walkthrough of this entire game and I have to admit while the writing and cinematic feel were top notch the gameplay wasn't that much different from Tomb Raider. Tomb Raider's writing wasn't weak either.

Art, storytelling, acting, cinematics........I don't know, while all of that is important, I like gameplay better. I like playing the game, not just watching it or critiquing it like a film. That's why I know GTA V will be the game of the generation because it will have a variety of gameplay as well as all of the window dressing that props up TLOU.

It's enjoyable but I mean not fun as in a shoot em up or beat em up, and how the story is emotional. I absolutely hate hearing clickers or seeing runners, I don't look forward to fighting any of them. It's absolutely a good game but not fun in a traditional sense.

Not really Tomb Raider thrived off of sandbags and various geometry to take cover in and let er rip where as TLOU sparingly gave you shooting waves and the chest hall walls usually didn't mean you were safe. Even then the melee and crafting aspect>>>>>>>>>>>>infinite ammo feel in TR.
