The Last of Us Is Clearly the Best Game This Generation

Fom the epic Ezio story to the missions/objectives, to the multiplayer, I always felt Assassins Creed Brotherhood and Revelations(these two specifically)were up there as best games of this generation..

the gamey part of tlou is still better than most games out period. people love to spout foolishness tlou is not JUST good cinematics.

No the actual "game" part is pretty weak.

You basically traverse a corridor(I know they made it pretty and added some exploration, but it's still basically a corridor) then you get to a more open space for combat, you make it through the combat and the story advance. Rinse and repeat this sequence and that's all the gameplay consists of. For me playing TLOU felt like a chore I had to sit through in order to enjoy the story/presentation.

I never felt hopeless in Tomb Raider....in the sense that the next enemy might take me out...

in TLOU i constantly felt like if i see an enemy i'm gonna eat it...

Not hating. Read back through the thread. Why are people saying they liked this game so much?

It's not cause the gunplay was so fun, or because there was some type of new or engaging gamay hook they loved.

Most people like this game because of the story and the emotional effects it had on them while playing through it.

I personally lean torwards gameplay more than story, which is why I thought other games this gen are better.
