The Last of Us Is Clearly the Best Game This Generation

Fanboys in here mad as fukk. It's just another zombie game to me. If the actual gameplay is "meh" I don't care about the storytelling or characters. I'll read a book or watch a movie for all that. The gameplay is average and the story is stellar. That doesn't make a game of a generation to me.

Not hating. Read back through the thread. Why are people saying they liked this game so much?

It's not cause the gunplay was so fun, or because there was some type of new or engaging gamay hook they loved.

Most people like this game because of the story and the emotional effects it had on them while playing through it.

I personally lean torwards gameplay more than story, which is why I thought other games this gen are better.

The gameplay is well done in this game. That's my opinion.
I've played the demo and loved it. I honestly can't speak for anyone else, but so far all I've seen was positive reviews.

Have you played it? The actual gameplay isn't "meh". Its fantastic actually. A game like Bioshock Infinite completely relies on the story, because the shooting is pretty fukking average. This game's gameplay is enhanced by the story/characters. Not the other way around.

its just a handful of posters that are ride or die xbox stans. i guarantee if the game were xbox exclusive, those saying LoU is boring/a movie, would be saying its GOTY.

How could my opinion not be "about me"

I never said it wasn't a good game or that reviews were not positive. I said this game wasn't the best game this gen in my opinion for the various reasons I listed above.

There are a bunch of fanboys over hyping this game. Its a great game but not the best in the gen for me. Despite all the pretty graphics and story telling its essentially a zombie game. Enjoyable nonetheless, but does nothing mindblowing. This game is in no way innovative of transformative in the gaming genre. The fanboyism in this thread is sickening.

I enjoyed Heavy Rain, Tomb Raider, GTA4, and Mass Effect 2 more than this game honestly. Again, its a FANTASTIC game. Just not up the fukking levels of hype you clowns are gassing it up to be. Especially with the below average multiplayer.
