The Last of Us Is Clearly the Best Game This Generation

No one's dissing it though. When did I actually diss the game? Not crowning it game the greatest game in known history is dissing it now?

Let me rephrase then, because I dont think you have to crown it the greatest game in history. The way I read it you were frowning upon people that like the storytelling and development. That is unless you just use all caps and krs smiley faces in all your comments.


Seems like it bothers you that people applaud the story and character development in the game. In my opinion the gameplay is stellar, but in this particular instance the character development and story stand above it.

There are a bunch of fanboys over hyping this game. Its a great game but not the best in the gen for me. Despite all the pretty graphics and story telling its essentially a zombie game. Enjoyable nonetheless, but does nothing mindblowing. This game is in no way innovative of transformative in the gaming genre. The fanboyism in this thread is sickening.

I enjoyed Heavy Rain, Tomb Raider, GTA4, and Mass Effect 2 more than this game honestly. Again, its a FANTASTIC game. Just not up the fukking levels of hype you clowns are gassing it up to be. Especially with the below average multiplayer.

I was talking about Keith Harrow in particular b/c he specifically made light of people mentioning the storytelling and character development.

In my personal opinion it is the best game b/c of game play, storytelling, and character development.

I liked heavy rain more because I got to shape the story. I made decisions, I succeeded at some things and I failed at others and all of that shaped my experience.

This to me is the point of a GAME if I want a story/experience dictated to me I can watch a movie. TLOU is basically you grabbing the controller and holding on for the ride. It's a great ride, but to some people that is not what makes a great GAME.

I've played TLOU and Heavy Rain(with the move controller). I liked Heavy Rain, but there were a ton of snooze points. Wasn't that memorable of a gaming experience for me. Sure I got to influence the storylines, but there wasn't a lot of tension in it when I played.

Hell, all I can remember is the futuristic detective getting wiped out by Junkyard Dog and that weird old dude trying to chop up the chick in his basement .

Personally, I didn't feel any need to go through another play through or see another ending once I was done.

TLOU about to get fired up again though.
