Naw. I like the linear adventure/journey style gameplay. Keep that open world crap for state of decay and day z
MGS5 shows me that these action games can excel in the open world realm.

I don't know about an open world TLOU game, but I've said for a while that they should try it with Uncharted. You're treasure/relic hunter... only makes sense for you to be able have to explore around the environment and find shyt.

No I am not what is the point of making a part 2 breh the story is fukking perfect. Drag this shyt out and ruin the entire premise of the game. Make it a zombie monster game brehs
How does making another game to TLOU ruin/diminish the original game? Nothing more than an attention craving post that makes no sense.

And they have all kinds of angles they can go with for a sequel. They don't even have to use the same characters.

and call it last of us 2 shyt wack get out of here with that. The story ended so perfect probably one of the best in this era and create a part 2 with different characters doing the same shyt.

Uncharted 4 will have open levels that offer a much more emergent style of gameplay.

The game's universe has multiple factions/militias... it has a big time gap in the events from the prologue to when we start playing, every character they introduced was entertaining. If you're saying they don't have other avenues that they can explore for a sequel you're being naive or weren't paying attention to the game.

No it doesn't. They provide point B and that's it. Point A direction Point B direction during chase scenes etc...

The characters were entertaining but they have to do something different compared to 1 in order for it to be a two. Open World would be cool in the same universe but if it is anything like last of us it will be stale and boring. The game is all about character development. They need to have a different approach to developing these characters and following the example of 1 is not it.

In the PSX alpha demo the level was obviously very big compared to uncharted 3 levels. How you get from point a to b is much more organic e.g. it's not funneling you to cover and having you use the same tactics. There were parts of TLOU like this.

However, further on, Drake runs across a group of enemies - and it is here that the real changes and improvements start to become evident. It truly feels as if the team has learned a lot from creating The Last of Us, as the level design - from what we can tell - seems a lot more open than anything in previous Uncharted games. Drake is attacked from all angles on and around a series of rock formations. Taking a page from many of the best stealth action games, the level design seems to present open-ended design within a linear framework - that is, you're provided a large area filled with enemies and given the tools and skills necessary to eliminate them as you please. The verticality and fluidity is very much Uncharted but the freedom here seems more in line with something like Crysis or Metal Gear Solid 3.
Is Uncharted 4 the generational leap we were hoping for?

But at what cost? Isn't one of the complaints about V is that the story is really weak? The main reason I love TLOU is because of the emphasis on character development and storytelling I wouldn't be opposed to it for UC tho. I doubt they do it because TR is kind of open world with large areas to explore

I hate the complaints about the MGSV story. It's hypocritical for the most part and if you do the story missions you get PLENTY of cut scenes and character development. Gamers don't know what they want.

People mad at MGS5's ending, not the entire story of the game.

Why haven't you copped and played this game though?
:wtf:

One of the GOAT games period
