UC4 was formally revealed in Jun 2014, released May 10th 2016 after being announced for a March 18th 2016 release, then delayed to April 26th and finally to May 10th that year(2016).
TLOU was revealed in Dec. 2011 and released June 2013.

TLOU Part II is already 2 years in the making since it's reveal at PSX 2016. Most ND games take a 1 1/2 years from reveal to retail.

I have a feeling Ellie going to find Joel infected and she has to kill him on some emotional shyt. Like how Daryl had to kill Meryl from the walking dead. Depressed about the situation and the cult kills her girlfriend which turns her into a rage.
