The argument isn't if you see it often its what would be more believable. and Joel is far more believable, even in the game. in the show its even more of a gap.
This is some fantasy world shyt anyway so its w/e but I've been in the military obviously with women, and sparred golden glove level female boxers. The difference in strength and force they are able to generate is no comparison. The average woman has the danger level of a 11 year old boy. A super athletic one, I'll say around 14

To me, it’s all game logic so im not bothered by the difference. One person regardless of whether they’re green berets or high school girls got about the same odds of survival in these scenarios to me.

but in the scene I liked. It pretty much showed this Ellie not the video game version. The guy was not trying to hurt her. And that lil ass girl chokehold would not did shyt in a do or die situation. Ellie on the show is a 14 year girl (now 19 year old) . She not super strong or nothing. She will get fukked up faced to faced and I like that.
i can only imagine the hate of this show if the game never existed and you a 14 year old girl mowing down soldiers like bowling pins
