I didn't think it was rushed/awkward/weird at all. They been in love with each other the entire season. Dina thought she had to KILL Ellie... Ellie told her the secret she was hiding, Dina told her the secret she was hiding, now it's no more secrets... it's just them... trying to get through this crazy zombie filled life together.

And please believe, in a zombie apocalypse, people would have to resort to all types of shyt. Good or bad. They aren't able to operate under the same mindset that you or I have sitting at home on a regular ass day in 2025.

That's why I say these posters are full of shyt because they aren't using any type of critical thinking in the critique.

You sound like u didnt play the game because that alteration is such a tonal departure from it and the overall situation.

@Deafheaven I want you to understand one thing. I don't give a fukk about what happens in the games. I'm watching this as a TV show. You sound like someone who expects a show to be identical to the source material and that's not going to happen nor can it happen. The masks shyt for example would have made for horrible television. I played the first game quite a bit, I'm a fan of the game. I'm not going to bytch about some changes though.

I mean tbf this is one point of this show that irks me. They actually look the complete opposite of this. Their clothes look fresh off the rack, Dina has a good makeup application and salon hair. For all intents and purposes they look like they are going on a trip to Zaras, not hell.

Apparently making clothes look weathered and dirty takes work. And then you’d have to make multiple sets of the same clothes look beat up in the same way. Probably not worth the $$$ compared to CGI

Anyway, I don't really rock with that subreddit. It seems full of right-wing cacs. Also, I clicked on a thread about a scene in the show, and people in there were posting blatant spoilers about what happens in the second game. I had to get out of there quickly

Rewatching this episode, I kinda dont think the pregnancy reveal then smashing transition was a bad idea, just a crappy rushed execution. I could've tolerated it if they took their time with it and had them calm down a bit, go "Oh I almost killed you, I'm sorry" wah wah then reconnect after the expression of emotion.

So many excuses. The sex scene isnt the issue its the placement, context, and ensuing scene. But gone head and keep absolving this horrid writing

the writing is so fukking atrocious. It is unbelievable.

The positive pregnancy test is so ridiculous that an actual pregnancy test expires within 2 to 3 years … yet it’s over 25 years after the outbreak began
