don't wanna pile on but man, they botched the casting. i just can't take Ellie seriously as an adult. her face stopped aging at like age 11. it would be like Emannuel Lewis being cast as a kid in the Michael Jordan biopic, but then they flashed to him as an adult and still kept Emannuel Lewis in the role. i don't wanna see this kid act like a toughie with a gun, bareknuckle fight grown men, and worst of all, fukk.

So far they are following the same narrative structure than the 2nd game, which is shocking to me, so we basically gonna be halfway through the game by season's end. Season 3 will wrap everything up for sure, how many episodes they take I guess it will depend on how long they are
but they can do it 7 or 8.

I wouldn't say they are rushing it -like I said, there's tons of stuff that they have to speed through because they don't have gameplay sections-, though I do feel like they are missing the opportunity to flesh some stuff out better than in the game -where you just get snippets of some really cool stories or lore- but that's probably a budget and scheduling problem so I get why they are doing it the way they are doing it.
I think that Mazin stuck too close to the narrative style of the 2nd game when that just brought him more problems than if he tried to do it differently. We'll see if his approach pays off but to me, the thing he's trying to pull off is unnecessarily difficult for a TV show format. It was already a challenge for a video game format -and some people couldn't vibe with the game because of it- and it's even harder on TV because they viewer doesn't have the benefits of gameplay like Naughty Dog did.

I think both sections can be part of the season finale. The thing you are talking about in the spoiler can be a 5 minute scene if we are being honest, they could spend 45 minutes on the rest of Day 3.I'll be surprised if they end this seasonat the Abby theater confrontation. This is the issue with adapting these movie games, I already saw the dialogue heavy scenes and played the action bits wich is more fun than watching them, not to mention the encounters in the game are better.
