The switch up leading to Joel & Ellie’s final convo I gotta say I feel was handled better and more realistically in this than the game.

I got gripes with TLOU P2, but I gotta give Druckmann (and whoever else helped) props for writing a story as emotive as they did over those two games. Idk if there's 30 games I can think of that would provide this many high and lows if you converted it to a TV show.

It's interesting because they are seemingly choosing to tell this story in a more linear fashion than the game did. Because of that, you haven't really gotten new main characters along the journey of this season, other than Dina. The market share was 55% Joel, 35% Ellie, then everyone else last season. Now it's like 60% Ellie, 20% Dina and 20% of a black hole lol.

The funny thing is that if they keep telling it this way, we'll just get the same thing but from the other POV

they got like an epsidoe and a half to work that in They said they'll need a season 4 to tell this story earlier, so I assume we're just gonna get added flashbacks for bro.

Im totally perplexed at the love its getting, nothing happened but some boring conversation. Didn't really move the show forward for me

i think bella just okay as ellie when she acts by her self

but her and pedro have a real friendship and love between them

the could had someone who looks more like the game character but that person might not had the same connection to pedro

they feel so much like family together and the hurt and care feels like they know each other for years.

it probably the best episode

ellie hurt but loves joel

and joel scared to loss her - both of their actions feel grounded in that and the acting was amazing

and while i would like the blooter boss fight with both of them; it might distracted from the themes of the episode.
