Pretty risky gambit they are running with here playing the Abbey switch straight. In game the shift was immediate now dudes have to wait 2 years to see what she is about as they havent built her up at all. I would have at least did some shifts in perspective during the season, audience has no emotional connection to her besides hate lol

In game it works because you hop right into playing her here. IDK how folks will care about this in several years tbh

I'm not really worried about it.. the show is too highly acclaimed for people not to care and the season is already greenlit..

Ellie's day 3 really didn't consist of much narrative outside of this episode..

I think they showed the seraphites about to gut ellie because earlier in the episode it showed ellie almost risk her life to save one of them. It’s just about how naive and wreckless she’s been this entire season.

all this talk of good people and bad people is one that mimics a lot of fan discussion. Everyone in this world is different shades of shyt

i thought this ep was well done. If you played the game you’re probably gonna think its rushed because theres like 4 combat encounters and platforming sections cut out of it but what are you gonna do

I just played this level today for the first time since the original release. They just skipped the dozens of WLF that Ellie kills to get to the Aquarium. You had to steal the boat from WLF and make your way to it. The moment between her and Jesse occurs in the middle of it where Jesse goes to get Tommy and she goes to get Abby.

Whole story is about the cycle of revenge, she signed up for smoke, not a field trip. Guns are the equalizers, that blicky light but them shots heavy.

This is straight up TLOU1 Ellie patched into TLOU2. TLOU2 Ellie is a certified crashout, at no point she was that in the show. The whole tone was too light, and she's the main cause of it.

She had more smoke for Joel putting Eugene out of his misery than dealing with Owen and Mel
