As I said numerous times in the first season thread, Joel did not kill Abby‘s father…. Abby‘s father killed himself

It’s because Ellie is an orphan so people can feel comfortable talking crazy since Joel is only her adoptive father. Ellie is underage. She can’t consent Imagine if your biological 15 yo daughter came home like “dad this scientist wants to kill me and use my brain for a cure. I wanna do it “ Go back in your room Ellie. FOH.
