still thought the episode was great, but just randomly thought
this chick we don't even know and her crew get to their stakeout house and realize that they have to infiltrate a literal city. they make it seem impossible... she just goes out, starts the 2nd zombie mushroom apocaplypse... and gets saved by the 1 guy she was seeking, and he delivers himself to their hideout.
easy fukkin peasy

the best thing about this show is seeing the video game watchers completely malding at the fact that the tv adaptation isnt a 1:1 mirror to the game.

these basement dwelling losers are unsufferable lmao. the amount of disdain these butt plug losers have while trying to mask it as constructive criticism is hilarious.

So you want your adaptations far removed from the source material? I'm on the fence about the series (don't hate it, don't love it) but there were some very valid compliants made by the basement dwelling losers the first season. I doubt this episode would ruffle too many feathers because as I said.. it's pretty much a "1:1 mirror to the game".

Like what? All I really remember off the top of my head were ppl bytching about the ellie casting and how Ramsay doesnt look like game ellie.
Maybe the "not enough infected" complaint? Which I really didnt care for/mind.

Why go to the other extreme of "far removed" from the source material? Just because it isnt a 1:1 adaptation doesnt mean it's "far removed". Had several ppl in here say the dina/tommy switch out worked better for the show.

You can't be serious with that... :mjlol:

Abby should blame her friends and family for getting killed by a guy who their perspective was just some smuggler/ex-raider?

Even Ellie doesn't believe that deep down...

Even Ellie herself as an adult is saying she wishes she could have sacrificed herself for a chance at a cure. Literally the only person who thinks Joel did the right thing is Joel lol. The entire world is justified in being pissed at Joel, thats the point. He choose a single girl over the lives of everyone else because he didnt want to go through losing another kid. Its supposed to be an insanely selfish act, he's not the good guy here, which is why the game goes through so many lengths to show you the other side of it.

In this world, there are no good guys. Even the person who you thought was a hero in part 1, looks like the devil from the perspective of others. I don't think you understand whats happening in this story.

Come on man.

I’m dead ass serious
Explain to me why did Abby‘s friends , Abby‘s family and Abby‘s father have the right to sacrifice a 14 year old girls life without any consent?

and as far as Ellie goes, there was plenty of people over the past decades, who was immune as her and sacrificed, which didn’t produce any vaccine/cure …. and even if you wanna go down the rabbit hole and say her sacrifice would have produce the vaccine/cure why would the rest of the world be pissed off at Joel … when the FF are your typical militia group that’s been in conflict with damn every other militia, group , the truth is it only would be beneficiary to them not the whole entire world or whatever that supposedly world is left

Not gonna hold yall, playing as Abby in the game kinda attaches you to her character. By the end I was digging her more than Ellie

Sidenote/ the way yall look for things to nitpick at will never not amaze me. Such a wack way to digest content. Muhfukkas take the fun out of everything lol

I’m perfectly fine with enjoying the games and the show separately

Fym its not nitpicking if the chars visual diverge from the source to a large degree.

Imagine the upraor if they casted some dude like Jesse Eisenberg as superman :mjlol:

Not sure if the entire point is the situation is 100% right or 100% wrong
I personally believe it’s 100% wrong for a militia crew to take the life of a 14-year-old girl with no consent

As far as Joel - I don’t think people condone his so-called dirty dark past …. The fact is we never seen it. We only heard through vague conversations about it. I’m pretty much sure he wasn’t on some crazy path where he was harming hurting or killing innocent bystanders.
Umm Joel 100% was killing innocent people. It’s flat out stated in random dialogue between him and Ellie. It’s also implied that’s the reason Tommy left him. Joel was everyone’s bad guy in the first game. That’s what his character development with Ellie was all about.

As far as Ellie, I wouldn’t call it murder because as Marlene realized with Joel in the garage, even he knows that Ellie would choose to sacrifice herself.

I don’t get the negan/glen comparisons. The main backlash from negan/glen was because they handled Glenn dying the worst way possible. You know negan is beating someone to death, you hear screams from the rest of the gang reacting and see the blood running down someone’s face, but you don’t know who is being killed and the season ends. Then you don’t find out who is killed til the next season.

Here is a reminder of how the season ended and why they got the backlash

The only way the Joel Abby scene would be comparable is if they ended the season with Abby in a room with Joel Ellie Dina Tommy and we hear her beating someone to death and we don’t find out who til season 3.

Abby killed Joel, ain’t no redemption for her to the viewers who watched for Joel. All the shyt AMC did above played a major role in ppl turning on the show, that is on top of them pumpfaking Glenn getting killed earlier in the season with the dumpster scene.

I usually watched TWD on my pirate site the Monday after, but decided to watch this episode on Stream2watch live. I was expecting an all time, iconic TV moment with them showing Negan giving somebody in Rick's group that work in that SAME episode :wow: Prior to this scene this episode was incredible as Negan's goons were showing up to random areas mean mugging Rick and it was slowly dawning on Rick that he  starting shyt with Negan's group. Mind you the fakkit comic book readers were talking about Negan in TWD season threads years before he actually showed up in the show. They was hyping the hell out of Negan :dead: The actual scene you posted where Negan shows up for the first time was dope.... until he starts bashing someone's head in and the episode ends on a cliffhanger! :why:

IMO that was a all time fumble by AMC :snoop: AMC/TWD could have had an legendary TV moment if they showed Glenn and Abraham getting that work from Lucille in the very same episode Negan showed up in :snoop:

I'll never forget the night this episode aired, it came on the same time as Wrestlemania that night.
