Don't forget having to catch up to the cliffhanger in season finale of season 3.

So, you have to watch a whole ass season just to see what happens... That shyt doesn't work.

The cliffhanger would work as a mid season finale, but not like this.

A recast might've worked better for some actions scenes but I don't think there's an actress out there that could pull off the impossible task of having like 4 different emotions every other scene while having to be funny, charming and menacing in a warzone filled with deviants and fukked up people in just 3 and a half episodes even Isabela Merced, who's by far this season's MVP wouldn't have been able to pull off "demonic Ellie" in a season structured and written like this one.

She was much better when they just let her being full on savage mode, beating mfs faces in. But unfortunately, they didn't seem to trust the audience enough to still rock with her w/o making her look unsure about every little thing, timid, childlike, etc.

Bunch of oopsy daisy / aw shucks gee willigers bs outside the one scene.

They did her absolutely no favors

the news station scene is a perfect example where they dropped the ball imo. showing her murking all those WLF soldiers would of been ridiculous in itself but imagine if they had her throw a bottle to distract the soldiers while also attracting the attention of the hoard so they start attacking the soldiers. through all that chaos it would thin the number of soldiers and also allow ellie and dina to realistically kill a couple more soldiers as well. that would not only highlight her quick thinking and capability on the battlefield but it also highlights the lengths shes willing to go for revenge.

Come to think of it, didn't she almost immediately fukk up and get caught? I remember Dina having to bail her out.

I envy the folks who won't watch the show until it's completely done because they'll be able to watch all of Seattle together.

I have to agree with sentiments I've seen elsewhere regarding casting. Big fumble with Ellie. Abby makes more sense as Ellie. A more physical actress should have been cast as Abby. That alone would elevate the show beyond its other obvious issues.

They got the wrong lead from day one, Bella does great with short lines and was a novelty on Game of Thrones, but quite simply isn't believable enough to carry a show.

I mean Walking Dead gave us the blueprint on how to build meek survivors into Dexter Lite....

What we see on the screen is unacceptable, Bella's English accent slipping, her character being indecisive at key junctures causing team member deaths, and the entitled attitude...

Hard to watch...
