Worth the educated risk. She was unique and wanted to sacrifice herself for a potential cure. Joel's selfish ass was the one who made the decision

They never asked Ellie though. They kidnapped her, so that shows they didn't GAF if Ellie consented or not.
If I'm Abby, I'd probably want to kill Joel too but, I'm not gonna pretend like I'm morally superior. I'd be killing Joel solely because I'm emotionally attached and upset that he killed my father. Not because my father was right for what he did. Deep down, I would feel a little disgusted that my dad wanted to kill a little girl.

Abby being a white Ann Wolfe made her deeboing people around believable. Shorty look like she aint stepped in a gym ever
They said on the podcast that the actress who they cast as Abby was in the running to play Ellie had they pursued the movie option a couple of years after the first game dropped. Since she aged out of playing Ellie in the show, they brought her back to audition for Abby.

its funny…all the complaints about abby being buff in the game, and now we see in the show how much better it would be if she was
ND got it all right the first time around.
Damn. This episode really bummed me out.
I have never played or cared about this videogame, and I thought Season I was totally fine. I say all that to say this season has accomplished more in two eps than that fraudulent bullshyt White Lotus did in an entire season. And then some. I'm def tapped in with this.
Im just saying steroided out abby was more convincing from a physical standpoint
She nailed the character acting wise tho. Whoever directed that first ep needs to be put on them papers cuz the diogue was much better in this one
