Ella was fantastic the first season but they should have done like HOTD did and cast someone else for the grown version, fukk they had that flashback ep where we saw like 4 of her birthdays and she didn't change one but even though she was at the age where kids can completely change in one summer, let alone several years, she just doesn't pull it off this season.

Abby is perfect, the whole muscles thing was dumb, women don't get like that without roids (please don't bother posting a "natural" chick that looks like that, they are on PEDs) I get there were going for the whole "she looks like that but its not a tranny or a lesbian, different types of femininity, bla bla bla BS" but she looked ridiculous and I'm glad they didn't have a young actress ruin her body for that.

I can respect how they addressed the fact that Ellie and Abby were supposed to be equally as bad in the game and it was just impossible to dislike Ellie that much. Showrunners just decided to make Ellie completely insufferable for an entire season.

THAT is a creative way to fix that problem.

I’ve said from season one Mazin has a weird aversion to going too dark. Very afraid of violence in game that was like built on being violent. That aspect i really don’t get.

Then you had dumb articles like this before it came out

Which ended up being one of the best parts of the game. No other game has conveyed such realistic, human violence. Even mortal kombat that feels more like a cartoon these days. This was an area last of us thrived in. It was supposed to make you semi-uncomfortable with killing, thats what the showed missed out on

I don't remember the game enough to recall if nikkas give Ellie the same level of shyt by this stage in the game. but when 2 of the 3 mfs you closest to on this planet both tell you that you're full of shyt, I think it's time for some self-reflection.

I got a feeling they're gonna overcorrect in the other direction and make Abby a fukking saint because of how much shyt neckbeards gave Neil for the last half decade. Neil WANTED you to like Abby in the game, I do remember that

No spoilers, but, when Abbie clearly did her a solid and then the game showed us Ellie's new life...then Ellie was like "fukk THAT bytch" and crashed out, ppl said the same thing.

The biggest problem with the game was that they tried to have to Protagonist that were each other Antagonist without a strong narrative--just revenge.

Right, I said the latter part explicitly later itt. That post was just saying that the game creators kinda failed to make me view these two people as equally dislikable in their actions. Maybe because I'm the average player that grew attached to those in Ellie's camp and there's no murders that she could've committed to Abby's friends that would've hit me the same way.

I'll give em this though, I think the show is actually doing a better job of making me feel sad about Abby's homies getting murked so far. I fw Jesse but I moreso just felt bad he had to deal with fukking Ellie than sad about him getting got. Nora and Mel just felt so much more innocent and they were speed bumps for show Ellie, who's just this completely dislikable eternal fukk up lol. Maybe I should be applying that vitriol to Abby for putting them in that situation though that's going to ultimately be the measure of if Season 3 succeeds or not IMO

Yep, you take away the interactivity and people finally realize that the game was not some storytelling hallmark

One of the big things during the game run was people hated Ellie (mostly) and Abbie because one was gay and the other one was built like Randy Orton.

Yes, there were plenty ppl just pilling on, but, it got to the point ppl protected this convoluted ass plot just to do it.
