yea that time frame from around 1996-2001 was special when it comes to pro-wrestling ....

there's a reason why WWE to this day still obsesses over that time frame and the wrestlers who came from it.

they were drawing crazy television ratings back then. everyone was watching wrestling for several years during that time frame.

That era of wrestling will never be recreated. Ruthess Aggression may have had the most talented and stacked roster in history (the early part), but it still wasn’t pre-2002 wrestling. That type of feeling will never come back no matter how hard they try.

Thunder really sucked. It lasted about a month before it became a slightly elevated Saturday Night.

I’ll never forget the shift around 2002ish, I was still a kid in elementary school. Wrestling as grade levels went by was something damn near everyone watched, to only a few, to everyone being like that shyt corny now and remember when so and so was still on Monday nights.

I hated Thunder and quit watching it in 99'. It was an obvious d show they tried to act like was a b show. Saturday Night is what I miss.

Somehow Thunder actually got worse the couple of times they tried to pretend it was a real show for 2-3 months

Does anyone remember WCW Pro on Sunday nights? That show just kind of disappeared at the beginning of 1998 with no fanfare, mention, or anything. I actually watched the final Worldwide after Vince bought the company. It aired about two weeks after the sale. I remember Scott Hudson's line at the end of the broadcast. "WCW is gone so that means WCW Worldwide is gone. We'll see you down the road, somewhere else."
