Disagree, The 2013 Heat were on a 27 game win streak and still won the championship. Sure, they weren't undefeated from the get-go, but a win streak is a win streak, and this was later on in the season. I think these Warriors have more than enough energy to repeat.

True but even Wade and a few of the heat players said they wished they didn't go for the record because they believe it took a lot out of them when it came to the regular season and going into the playoffs.

"Young" has nothing to do with age. They are youthful, but not inexperienced. Their young years were the years they lost to the Clippers in the first round and the Spurs in the second.

This year will be their fourth straight playoff birth and the second time as the top seed.

They are tested, in their primes and ready to go.

I consider "young" to be The Wolves, Pistons, Magic, Bucks. teams like that that are clearly on the come up. Trying to get their first playoff berth.

GSW ain't young. They're just in their primes.
I think you are confused with how the word young is being used within the context of this thread. It's not about being inexperienced, they havent lost much tread on their tires, they aren't going to wear down physically due to their youth.

These nikkas ain't playing 4th quarters and the Splash Brothers never need to run past the 3 pt line. Them nikkas fresh as fukk. They play 82 like erbody else.

The thing that will add up is the deep playoffs runs. We will see what happens as the season progresses. Let's keep an eye on any bruises and nicks they get like Thompsons ankle and Barnes ankle.

Most teams that go fo repeats have to deal with players (especially star players) having nagging injuries.

Their schedule pretty much guarantees them at least a 3 game losing. Playing cupcakes is nice but this back Louded schedule is gonna be brutal. I think OP is right though this winning streak could come back to haunt them later in the year. Everybody is gonna give them their best shot every single night until their season is over just to shut up all the warriors are the greatest team ever talking heads. It's only a 3 team race for the title (warriors, spurs and Cavs) but I can see Durant and Sabo take it personal and show gs who used to be talked about. This is their schedule in a two week period in January alone.

@Detroit
@Cleveland
@CHICAGO
Vs INDY
Vs San Antonio
Vs Dallas

this is a silly notion by OP. they are playing more hungry than anyone as they feel slighted by media and fans that said they only won because the cavs weren't healthy. and though he would never admit it, I think steph is secretly fueled by the fact iggy got finals mvp. I guarantee he will NOT let that shyt happen again.

I look at it to be three phases

Young

Prime

Old Heads

Spurs being the old heads.

Prime being GSW

Young being the wolves.

Do you mean mentally? Because Steph Curry is basically resting the entire fourth quarter in every other game... so they are extremely rested.
And the second string is getting alot of play time as well. They are learning to win and execute. And learning to trust each other more and more.

They are on their way to the finals, at the very least.
