The rest of the world has always had great athletes. Some of those countries just didn’t (and still don't) have the infrastructure to develop the talent of these gifted athletes.

Either way it will still take a while longer for the rest of the world to catch up to and consistently beat an American team that’s been properly put together with the best American talents.

But I'm betting that once the NBA African league is 20 to 30 + years in you'll see a whole new breed of players and it will likely be over for US and European dominance in the sport. Just imagine bunch of players similar to Bam Adebayo playing point-forward and distributing the ball to freak athletic players like Giannis on the wing...

lmao

that’s like saying give the US time and we’ll have better soccer players than the rest of the world. Not happening!

You realize the USA is the 3 biggest country in the world right? Of course no other country alone going have the talent.

If we going by that, how come China doesn't have multiple stars?
After all, they've been playing ball for 20+ years and have 4x the pop.
Hell, Nigeria has been playing ball since the 50's and has 60% of USA pop. Why doesn't Nigeria have a few All Stars on their squad?

I firmly believe the US can become a soccer powerhouse. Why not? You have more money and sports infrastructure to develop athletic talent than anybody else. And they have not done a bad job at adopting soccer culture so far despite spending decades of dissing soccer.

On top of that you have more children of immigrants here that have been around the game of soccer all their lives to get you there. I wanna say 3/4 if not 4/5th of the US soccer team a few years ago were children of immigrants from countries were soccer is big.

WHAT I AM SUGGESTING IS THAT CALLING AN ERA THE LEBRON ERA IN REFERENCE TO RULE/OFFICIATING CHANGES IS SUSPECT IF THOSE CHANGES PRIMARILY AFFECTED OTHERS MORE THAN HIM.
I’m tryna follow you but you seem to change what you are asking. I said he benefits like every other player currently does. You musta mis read that like I said he’s the only one to benefit. now you asking me about different eras relative to Brons era. I addressed that in my initial post.

I feel like you are tryna manufacture a slight by me against Bron.

It just happened to be the era he dominated in catered more towards freedom of movement favoring the offensive player. That’s not saying he wouldn’t dominate in other eras. He also dominated in the with Heat that wasn’t like this era.

If you know how to properly rate players these are irrelevant technicalities.:usure:

IT SEEMS ODD TO ME TO REFER TO SOMETHING AS THE LEBRON ERA WHEN MOST OF THE NEGATIVE THINGS ASSOCIATED WITH THE "ERA" DISCUSSED BENEFITS OTHERS FAR MORE THAN HIM.

People exaggerate this whole taking over the league. 6 of the top 10 players are still from the US. Heck other than the usual 4, how many foreign players are top 20? Top 30?

EASE BY WHICH JUMP SHOOTERS GET FOUL CALLS FOR ONE.
Are you saying he doesn’t get fouled on jumpers so he drives more because defenders aren’t allowed to impede him while driving?
:lolbron:

Bron has a literal sports agency. He benefits greatly from this era more than others, on and off the court.

why are you making pluses into negatives?
