You can't preorder Trails games digitally anymore because when Cold Steel IV came out the pre-orders were stuck in limbo for a while. I had to open my physical copy to even start playing that on launch day as the digital copy wouldn't allow me to play it.

So far up to the end of chapter 2 this is easily the best opening game in the series and Van is the best protagonist in the series followed by Estelle, Kevin, Lloyd then Rean in that order.

Chapter 3 while not bad feels weird. It feels like a giant side quest. Seems like you spend too much time doing 4SPG quest.

I'm only on Chapter 2 but I'm enjoying it. I tried to play through Reverie but I think I was just burned out with Cold Steel and this new arc is refreshing for me.

I’m feeling the same way. I got the Cold Steel Parts 3&4 bundle and just not motivated right now to finish 3. Thinking about getting this to start fresh and then finishing the Cold Steel series later in the year.
