The Lego games are overrated.

I only buy them once in a while. lego marvel was piff just cuz of the sheer # of characters you could unlock. then unlocking deadpool was a quest in itself. kept me and my kid busy over the entire xmas break getting that done.

I just got into playing Lego Marvel ps4 with my stepdaughter.

And i`m getting her Lego Moviegame ps4 for her b-day.

We were having a lot of fun with Marvel, it's definitely not a game you`d play on your own as an adult. but that's not who they're meant for anyway.

that was my thought... these are kid games... they use about 2-3 buttons and the gameplay in EVERY one is..... break shyt, collect money, figure out simple traps

they're made for kids, i wouldn't expect them to be super hard or even that involved. the ones i have played are fun mainly to see how they go through the movies. funny to see lego break apart when you hit it & i thought it was a good idea to have them build things as well.

I've also played just about all of them myself but I don't take them Seriously at all. I don't really think they're Overrated, never knew anyone that has taken them Seriously enough. I just Play these LEGO Games for the Jokes to be Honest, they're all Comedic Versions of Whomever the Main Characters are.

Like others have said they are solid games that aren't meant to be difficult and are just somewhat funny parodies of the franchises they are based on. They are good fun when you just want to mess around or kill some time. Reminds me of a lot of the smart phone games out there.

I've played nearly all of them, and although I had a minimal amount of enjoyment playing most of them, they're way too simplistic and easy for me to care to see them to the end. Can't see myself putting several hours into them trying to unlock everything. The one that I came the closest to purchasing is Lego City Undercover, but the awful load times, and the fact that it isn't much different from the other Lego games besides having an open world hub and references to spy movies, turned me off. There are companies like Insomniac and Nintendo that have made great pick up and play games that actually have complexity and multi-layered gameplay. Give me an epic, funny, and heartfelt collectathon like Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time over Lego Marvel any day of the week. Not even the addition of many of my favorite superheroes in the latter could make it feel any less shallow and empty as an overall experience. The former actually made me feel like a kid again without holding my hand every step of the way, and it was an absolute joy to play.

So your knocking a game series that's primarily geared to children and are judging them by demos you downloaded that at most only contain 1 level , with unlocks,online play and achievements that are blocked off that do not give the full experience

I admit that they do a lot of shyt that these so called other companies can't do.
They translate everything well and add humor to it.
I've played all of them with my sons and actually enjoyed them.
