I just got back from watching The Lego Movie. I came in with my daughter assuming it'll be some funny (which indeed was) crackpot Lego adventure flick with a lot of pokes at pop culture (which it had).

I left that film amazed at the jewels this film was pushing. This film is a blend of 1984 with A Brave New World and add the analogy/theology of both The Matrix and Prometheus. There was so many deep levels of knowledge and jewels in this film that left my mouth dropped in awe.

Got to applaud the makers of this film in making those daring and ambitious themes in what would be disguised as a mere children's movie.

There were so many layers to this movie, the only thing I felt they didn't touch on was racism. Everything else was hit including homosexuality ("I love sausage!"). Aside from that, everything was hit and I was so happy with this movie. Awesome from beginning to end.

Yea, they didn't touch on racism, however they DID showcased how all of these difference cultures were all ruled under a totalitarian world order and implying how these cultures shouldn't be "integrating" under this world order.

This film has so many levels. From is meta-ness to its art tricks. Also they ended up making the best Justice League film we'll ever see.

Check the silent film, "Metropolis". It heavily relays to that movie. Also, there's a lot of 1984 and A Brave New World themes in it too. There's also conflicting analogies of being an independent thinker & individualism vs. constructive teamwork. It most definitely flashes a mirror of our own society and it's blissful ignorance towards a more fascist government that we live in. Too consume and complacent in our own bubble where we're programmed to listen to the repetitive pop song, the cheesy reality show, go about our everyday lives while cameras are watching us at all times. Dismissive to whutever our government is really doing behind the scenes.

Movie was great . Had some nice moments The part when bad cop interrogated emmet that's my little yellow nicca but he got ethered. Batman saying he's the hero you need Morgan freeman with the i liked it before you did line at the end . Idk if im the only one who realized what the piece of resistance was soon as he got saved .
