When I was 21 I had that tingling sensation on the top of my knee and it turned into a cold sore. My docs were amazed and had never seen one there before. It only came back once after that. THEN about two weeks ago I felt that same tingling on my lip sure enough... BUT I bought some abreva and it is amazing. I guess as soon as you get the tingling feeling, you put it on the area and it prevents the sore from coming it's kind of pricey for a small ass tube but it's worth it imo.

Get it from wal mart- it's like 18. And if you catch it early you literally only have to use a couple drops. Should last awhile...
