Sting on his AEW run:

“I didn’t want fans thinking I was just coasting along. I wanted them to say, ‘Wow, he’s pulling out all stops all the way to the end.’ And that’s exactly what I did. Diving off balconies, going through tables—it was fun! An amazing run, and I’m so grateful for it.”

They was fuccking WILDING here

That to me is peak AEW.

Loved Sting’s run as well after how bad that WWE shyt went. Only regret is I felt they could have done a huge money match having him challenge MJF for the title before putting him over.

And the Cody/Sting feud that never came because Cody left :mjcry:

I was a WCW guy coming up and it pissed me off so bad with the way they booked him against big nose. And to bring out the black and white nWo to help him when he was the main guy battling them back in the day :dead:

Don't forget Vince all screaming in JBL and Coles ear shytting all over him. That match was diabolical, the way they made sting look like a goober.

Starting to like the feel of the smaller venues. Gives it a more unique presentation, though hopefully they can build back up to doing larger arenas at some point soon. Guessing it's also saves them money to rent out and on travel costs vs. going city to city.

Kinda weird to run that in Chicago when they are doing a double-taping on Wednesday for Dynamite and Collision

If they're doing residencies for a couple weeks at a time, I'm curious if LA is on their radar.

I'd like to see them go back to the James L. Knight Center in Miami. That was their first road show post-covid, coming out of the Daily's Place era. I thought it was a nice look on TV.

They would’ve had Sting jobbing to Hardcore Holly had he come in in 01 :francis:

MFs purposely fuccked Goldberg’s theme up because it sounded “too intense”. That came straight from HHH’s mouth :smh:

And you know it was BS because they gave him his real theme with no issues once he was on good terms with Vince/HHH and came back for his 2nd run. Even had him squash Lesnar when before the MF was going 10+ mins with EVERYBODY

I like it too. Gives them opportunities to do some different stuff for each show, unique visuals, etc. When companies go to the bigger arenas, they all just end up looking the same on TV.

Or any spot for that matter. :damn:

Last one was at Panthers Arena which is second largest of the NHL/NBA type ones behind the United Center. So of course that's too big for their recent venture into smaller venues, but whatever place they can find locally to run a show.
