I think Malaki Black is just a career midcarder at best. He ain't been doing a lot in WWE now either.

“It becomes this thing where people want to desperately have a narrative. ‘He never wanted to be in AEW.’ That’s completely false. That’s absolutely not true. I had a great time in AEW. I had a lot of fun. Did I do everything that I wanted to do? No, but that’s okay. At the end of the day, that’s not my company and I don’t have any say.

It’s the same way, ‘He didn’t want to lay down for people.’ If you really think that I have so much pull in the company that I can say who I’m not going up against or lay down against, you think I’m not going to vouch for myself or put myself in the main events? You think I’m going to politic, ‘I’m not going to lay down for this person.’ It doesn’t make sense.”

Okay.. So I was just in the WWE tryna find out if what's being said about WWE these days true.

Gotta do the same for AEW...

I haven't watched in a long time. Missed the entire Swerve reign, Okada, etc.

I heard that they've turned it around this year. Has it gotten better? I also heard the crowds have gotten smaller. What's going on over here?

It's all a matter of preference but I feel 2025 has been way better than 2024. Better stories, more focus on stories/character development and the matches are still great on PPV. The PPVs always deliver, while the TV show is hit or miss.

They stopped throwing out random guys nobody knows on 'Dynamite'. It seems that 'Collision' is more a show for those real diehards. 'Dynamite' has been built around Hangman, Swerve, Mox, Okada, Omega, Toni Storm, Mercedes Mone', Lashley/Shelton, MJF etc..

They moved many of the shows into smaller arenas starting last year. The production values on TV are definitely better because of it. The PPVs still happen in big arenas or stadiums.

  • Khan finally decided to tone down on the bigger crowds this year and it paid off
  • Apparently they found their stance despite Phil and em leaving
  • They're still putting out quality ppvs and matches, but they really peaked in 21-23
  • Forbidden Door is around the corner
  • WWE are some hoes by counter programming their events but it is what it is (business dawg nothing personal)
All in all, they are straight for being a main competitor to the WWE. Me on the other hand, I'm not a huge fan of the big two, but respect given to Tony Khan for keeping the business afloat despite doing the same exact shyt that Vince did in the 80s concerning talent raids and etc.

Bet! I'm probably not gonna jump back into watching it week to week, but I'll definitely check out their next PPV.

TBH, I would go babysteps with wrestling nowadays lol. This shyt is going through a transition because most of the big names are either retiring, on the shelf, or just done with wrestling. The fandom is obnoxious, and quite frankly there's not really many compelling storylines at this very moment.

The only reason why I got back into the shyt is because I never left lol, just took a sabbatical and realize my true heart always been puro and indies, not so much the big two and a half.

On the real, you will be good with catching a big event or two and calling it a day. Trust, you are not really missing much as the storylines nowadays are on some NWA/WCW long term shyt.
