The only one that really stands out for me is the MJF alliance/feud. Max would've been over without it but the musical number they did was great and showed off his non-wrestling skills.

There's nothing on the level of what Sting did for Darby.

In reality Jericho's biggest impact in AEW was being the first champion... he did a great job with that run and him, Mox and Kenny being the first champs gave the belt the credibility it needed in the early days.
Yall wilding. Jericho did a LOT for DG, Sammy, Anna Jay, P&P, Orange Cassidy, etc.

And as much as I love Sting, Darby did more for Sting than Sting did for Darby. Cody is the one that made Darby.

DG really though? Mox and Danielson did more for him during that Sports Entertainer/Pro Wrestler thing and he still hasn't got himself fully over.

OC had a good feud and fun blow-off match but Mox has done way more for him IMO. It was the International run and the Mox matches that locked OC in the main event scene.

P&P is case in point. They should've been a lot more than they became because they seemed constantly queued behind whatever Jericho was doing.

Anna Jay I'll give you... she's done great. :manny:

Not a Jericho hater particularly, I think on balance he's been great for AEW start to finish... personally I'd keep him around. I just don't think padawans are really his thing... he doesn't even want to see his own kids:russ:

I legit don’t even remember nothing with Mox & DG back then. What do you mean?

Edit: Completely forgot about Regal/Bryan/Mox. Still dont remember much with Mox/DG though

Nah man that tag division was absolutely fuccking insane then. Thats not on Jericho.

Young Bucks
Lucha Bros
Swerve in Our Glory
Acclaimed
Private Party (ehh)
Hangman/Omega
FTR
Etc.

They could’ve been pushed more for sure though.

Learning Tree was the first thing I thought that just straight up sucked from Jericho in AEW

Didn’t care for his NJPW gimmick either :yeshrug:

I don't think Jericho actively sabotaged anyone either, I didn't buy into that Jericho Vortex bs - he just didn't really ignite anyone else's rocketpack either.

And If his last major act was to put Bandido over for the ROH belt I don't think anyone can complain. Bandido's had a hell of a year from then.

Jericho's issue was that the one thing he did better than pretty much anyone -reinventing himself and make things works- started to fail him by 2022 (when I started watching AEW). Can't speak before that time but it was pretty clear to me that he was trying his hardest to be the utility guy he was for most of his career but he was 1 step below what he once was a worker (which hurts in AEW more than in other promotions) and the crowd didn't connect with his angles, they only wanted to sing his entrance song.

This clashed with the fact he was/is one the most recognizable wrestlers in the company so it became impossible to balance the use of his "star power" (for lack of a better term) and him clearly becoming a shell of his former self as a performer.
