What's the title of the book @Jmare007 ? I gotta sprinkle in something different while I read murder mysteries with this chick lol
Way of the Blade AEW edition

Yeah, that's the one.

It's basically Phil Schneider doing good DVDVR style reviews (with added context and some comic-style drawings) of the bloodiest matches in AEW with the added content of talking to the wrestlers involved (or at least 1 of them) in said matches talking about them. I don't have the list but from what I've heard from Phil, Mox vs Janela, Mox vs Danielson, Danielson vs Rush, Danielson vs Page II and Danielson vs MJF are all in it. Gotta think Swerve vs Page, DMD vs Rosa and bunch of other brawls gonna be in it too.

The first Way of the Blade was basically reviews (with the same art as this coming book) and some quotes from wrestlers from the bloodiest matches ever, and now he's doing one solely focused on AEW basically because he's got the connect via Tony Khan :lolbron:

He also has a podcast were he invites wrestlers to talk about either a bloody match they had or talk about a classic bloody brawl. I kinda expect him to have a lot of AEW wrestlers in the coming months to continue to push his book. He even had TK in April, though that was mainly to announce the DEAN~! II show.

Sounds very interesting, I've talked to Phil before just randomly this was many years ago and he's very knowledgeable about old school wrestling especially. I gather the 80s territories and 90s Japan are his thing. Tony Khan was a tape trader so that don't surprise me Lol.

Yeah, Phil a cool dude, always fun to talk to him. TK was a member of DVDVR and kind of a stan of the guys that did those reviews back in the day so Schneider basically hit jackpot, lol.

People growing up these days are so spoiled with how easily they can access wrestling and they just go "who this? :dahell:" whenever someone new or not signed to the company shows up on TV instead of being curious and seeking out new stuff.

During my teens and college years when I was DVD trading with a buddy for ROH and PWG stuff I would have killed to have access to that stuff on streaming. Sadly the library him and I had on DVD was better than what ROH had on their streaming site, at least from the early years. Pretty sure between the two of us with what we acquired in various different methods, we were only missing like maybe one or two shows (excluding the HDnet stuff) for the first several years.
