I have an idea that could work and be not only beneficial but help both companies. First let's remember how Sting went out on top as a winner. Now here's what I'm proposing.

Put Okada and Takeshyta in the C2 and have both of them go undefeated, no questions asked. They can use the other competitors to showcase some future potential main event stars, no need to bury anyone.

Then before the final have them cut a promo and Okada be like, since you so confident, how bout you put the iwgp title on the line as well at Worlds End. Have Okada win the match and the title.

Reason being that recently Okada challenged Tanahashi for his final match at Wrestle Kingdom and what better way then to have him go out as champion. He can vacate the belt after thanking the fans at end of match or whenever after but it would be a good moment for him and NJPW can figure out a plan after to crown a new champ and build for their future.

 I dont like that for Take. Wish he could beat them both before Tana retires.

I figured they were gonna do Takeshyta and Okada as the C2 final at WD. The problem they have is how do they fix the situation they are in. Okada is unified champ which includes continental title and Take is IWGP champ. Plus Okada facing Takeshyta at WK in his last match. Could they avoid having Takeshyta in the C2 and wait on the match with Okada? I don't think they'll have either lose before the tourney or WK and TK not crazy enough to make it a match at the upcoming ppv. Could Okada just retain at the tourney and then lose to Tanahashi or does he lose the title at the tourney and then still lose at WK? If he loses and Takeshyta not in it, who are some possible candidates?

They could hold on the match until Revolution but do they have the capabilities to keep the storyline going that long and keeping the fans interested? What messed them up was starting a feud with them when Take was then made IWGP champ and it not looking good if your business partner has their champ lose a big match before their big event. So then what happens if Take wins the tournament? Does he then beat Tsuji or does Tsuji win? How does it make the unified title look if the champ loses to someone from another company? Maybe it's best they hold off on Take vs Okada cuz they stuck either way.

Does the Take and Okada match need a title for it to be important? Cuz I got another crazy idea for the tourney. I feel that both can build up a storyline and match but not necessary for a title to be involved yet one would help.

I highly doubt Okada is losing at WK. Tana doesn't need the "feel good W" if politics are an issue (and they usually are when AEW talent is involved), only way Okada does the job is if he wants/asks Tana to win in his last match.

I'd be surprised if Take is in the CC, just to avoid risk of injury. New Japan really needs him to be stay healthy for the Dome show. And we'll see what Gedo does with Takeshyta vs Tsuji but it shouldn't shock anyone of Take takes an L so NJPW can get their guy the big title win at their biggest show in years.

Okada vs Take should be a legit rivalry so bending over backwards to book their first match against each other is kinda pointless, imo. And yes, they can wait to Revolution and no, they don't necessarily need a title for their first encounter.

I wonder what if Briscoe loses to Fletcher and they make him join DCF and Don gets the bright idea to put him in the C2 as a way to have another family member in the tourney to help Okada and if he wins he can just lay down for Okada but what if Briscoe doesn't follow directions and he beats Okada. Can then have Okada get mad and have Don kick Briscoe out the group and Take say he's out too which could lead to Take vs Okada at Revolution. Can possibly do Take and Briscoe vs Fletcher and Okada or whatever Okada said their tag name should be at the Australia show.

Or better yet, give Okada his rematch for unified title at Revolution vs Briscoe and give Takeshyta a TNT title shot after losing the IWGP title at WK and then trying to stand up for Briscoe on Dynamite and being attacked by the group causing him to become a face. So it makes Briscoe as unified champ and Take as TNT champ and could leave Fletcher to move on to main event scene. Do they then eventually give him a title run to then lose to Ospreay at All In in London?

Lot of different ways they can go with all this.
