If you're a winner, you probably should want things to move left too. I'm also a winner -- I have very practical, job-applicable degrees, and I make a very good wage compared to almost anyone. However, my wife and I have hundreds of thousands in student debt that we financed at half-decent rates and the Department of Education subsequently bought out and pinned at 7.9% during the bailouts. So, even though we're relative winners in terms of achievement, career progress, really any reasonable measure, we're still going to be hacking away at debt for the foreseeable future, many payments going to interest when they should have been going to principal. It doesn't really feel like winning tbh -- I'm woke enough to know when I'm getting screwed, and I'm getting screwed Prince Yahshua atom bomb style here. It's unconscionable the way our generation has been treated economically by both Democrats and Republicans, and millenials are right to want things more socialist.
