Why are you talking about 97...Swizz wasnt really around then...and Lox werent either (except for guest tracks)...Lox didnt come out til 98 and Swizz wasnt really popping until about that time as well when DMX came out.
During the time when Lox dropped MPR and WATS...the Hitmen were dope but Swizz was everywhere. The LOX werent really themselves on their first album...and the beats they got from the Hitmen were Puff and Mase's throwaways...plus Swizz had the best song on MPR.

The LOX - All for the Love - YouTube

That song...the title track...and We'll Always Love Big Poppa were dope but everything else was forgettable. Well I will always remember If You Think Im Jiggy...but for all the wrong reasons. They were on fire when they joined Ruff Ryders. We Are The Streets had all kinds of bangers.

THANK YOU!!!!! :salute:

These dudes are the purest form of :flabbynsick:

So fukking true. Them nikkas are gonna be talking about killing nikkas when they pushing 40:what:

Its far too late for them to drop a universal 5 mic album classic. If this was 2003, yeah they could have made an impact, cause gangsta rap was still popping back then. Now? The swag era? They get :bryan: at.

LOX.....WOAT businessmen. If they had as much common sense as they had bars, they'd be billionaires. They're STILL digging themselves out of shytty business decisions. I'd suggest they never sign another major deal ever again unless they get a Drake-type of deal.

Oh and Money, Power, Respect WAS the better album. People refused to see through the shiny suits and Bad Boy gloss and realize it was the better body of work. We Are The Streets was little more than an attempt to appease their hardcore fanbase which I guess has kept them going this long, but it's not musically the better album.

LOX thought that they can make mad money strictly off of their street image and thought that nikkas were not gonna cop bootleg CDs. They the type of hard headed dudes that don't learn fully until they are :flabbynsick: or get burned.

We are the streets was solid but just because an album came out in the 90's doesn't make it a classic

About 10 years too late with this.

shyts gonna be the same with Bad Meets Evil EP and Reflection Eternal new shyt. Forgetful and way too long over due. Dre should erase all those Detox tracks. Its called striking when the iron hot.

LOX were my dudes back when they used to kill those Clue tapes. I still fukked with them crazy up until like '06. Which is probably when they should've dropped this album.

Nobody really cares about these cats anymore.

Money, Power, Respect >>>>>>>>> We are the Streets

I don't know why people are so shocked there hasn't been a Lox album in over 12 years. Puffy still owns that group, that was one of the issues with them leaving Bad Boy. The deal was that Puffy would retain publishing on LOX records even though they weren't on Bad Boy. So to side step that they all decided to do Solo's instead. It was more a business move. On their solos they made sure to always do features with all them on there in some shape or form. Also "We are the Streets" is not Classic so why are they making a sequel? I liked "We are the Streets" but some of the production was weak and they spent to much time dissing Puff instead of just making music. Say what you will but "Money Power Respect" had better production, better songs and it's their only Platinum LP as a group. Their sales dropped with "We are the Streets". Also the song "Money, Power, Respect" is better than any song off "We are the Streets". Overall I'm looking forward to a new LOX album those are my n!ggas. This was my joint:

I agree. I still fukks with money power respect. that shyt is dope. production is better, and the songs are better. had some commercial filler, but they had some hard hitting album tracks on there.

I always had a feeling that puff was still :eat: off lox songs, but I also thought he was getting paid off their solo shyt as well. I still like the lox, but if we are the streets 2 sounds like the original, it might be borderline :trash:
